Winterfest is a Tennessee Episcopal Youth Retreat which provides a welcoming and safe space for high school students (grades 9th - 12th) to grow in their relationship with God and Christ through creative worship, service, music, love, friendship and understanding. It has served Episcopal youth across Tennessee since the 1990's, unifying youth from all over the state to live, play, talk, eat, sing and worship together as a community of faith.
This four day program includes group discussions, daily worship, praising God through dance and song, and playful skits. To know more about the retreat, check out our promotional video, above.

DATES: Friday, December 28, 2018 at 4:00pm through Tuesday, January 01, 2019 3:00pm. Winterfest is in the Central Time Zone.
LOCATION: Winterfest will be held at the historic DuBose Conference Center in Monteagle, Tennessee.
This year's theme is "I believe in God, the Father almighty."
At this retreat, the youth will explore the origins of the "Apostle's Creed" to understand Christian / Episcopal doctrine and how their daily lives intersect with their baptismal covenant. It’s easy for our culture of individuality and innovation to shape the way we think about the Church. With so many questions, opinions, and interpretations among people today—even within the church— it is easy to question what we should all agree on as essential to Christian faith.
For more than 1,600 years the Apostles’ Creed has united the church around core Christian doctrines as revealed in Scripture. This historic confession points us to the foundational beliefs of our faith and of the life-changing truth of the gospel. This high school retreat will take students on a journey into the foundations of Christianity for a closer look at what it is we believe. This study will use the Apostles’ Creed to help students grow in their understanding of the Christian faith, live as disciples of Christ, and experience a profound sense of belonging within the kingdom of God.
The Apostle's Creed as written in the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer states:
"I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
